Steven: That green Santa Fe box car I have is in very good condition!! I hooked it up to a loco yesterday afternoon, and it rolled along very smoothly, through two turn outs, and over one re-railer section of track!! I am very pleased with it!

I think that the only boxcars that Santa Fe ever painted green were express boxcars pulled as head end cars on passenger trains. Those were all 50 footers, I think. They may have put some longer ones on near the end of their passenger service before AmTrak took over rail passenger service.
