Can you share some details (& maybe a few photos) of the city backdrop you're using in those photos?

Gotta agree with everyone else, the weathering is superb. I'm surprised that you will add lettering after weathering, I look forward to seeing that.

Wow - really nice layout scene and great - I mean great weathering. That rust looks real. My compliments. I too await a tutorial on just how you got the rust looking so lifelike.

The city backdrop is available from realisticbackground. Website: http://www.realisticbackgrounds.com

Also made my own. I found a picture that I wanted (internet), format it as I wanted in "paint"
and printed it:

Re: A few pics from my layout - MLW - 01-01-2009

The RS-18 stopped at the station to let
the company higher priority train go by.

Re: A few pics from my layout - MLW - 01-01-2009

Before the RS-18 could go on however, CN premier
high-speed passenger train, CN1
(which has priority over all other traffic) flew by
the station on its high speed run to Montreal.

Good stuff - I bet you spend some time on modeltrainsweathered.com (I think that's the name). Your work and the stuff there makes my head spin!

Also, what are the objects poking out from the facia in the picture above? Are these switch knobs? Someplace to hang throttles?
