Re: Indiana City - jeznew - 06-03-2012 Excellent work - looking really good. Keep the updates coming. Jez Lawleystreet.com Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-03-2012 Thanks, Jez. Today had been track laying on the plan. On the right side the main will descend to the hidden yard level. It's a 3.5% grade. First train testing the work. Let's see what happend to the rest of this still empty segment. See you later. Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-10-2012 This weekend I've done very little. The route to the staging yard is so far built and it's walls are covered with plastic sheets molded as a concrete wall. Now I have to build the rest on this segment, before I can go on with the catenary masts. Re: Indiana City - mountaingoatgreg - 06-11-2012 Great progress so far!! I really like the plan and the attention to detail in the trackwork, it really is paying off. Sure makes me want to get back to working on a ayout... Keep us posted on your progress and keep up the great work. Re: Indiana City - Sven - 06-12-2012 Hi Jörg, It looks very good from what you build there. I look forward to further steps. Sven Re: Indiana City - Tyson Rayles - 06-12-2012 Nice work Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-12-2012 Thanks. I've taken a few days off and will use this time to build all the tracks on the existing segments. I will not be quite ready, because right on time the cork tiles are out. And new material will be hard to get. building a curved turout Today the first to be complete is the main line. With a grain extra of the Illinois Terminal the line was opened. Re: Indiana City - Steamtrains - 06-12-2012 It's great to see a layout develop from bare walls to trains running... You're doing a wonderful job...!! Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-15-2012 Thanks, GUS. The currently most difficult construction project is finished: the double-crossing after the switch .. It lacks only the cuts and cables for the polarization. Later the whole thing will be polarizesed by a relay depending on the access switch. Re: Indiana City - faraway - 06-16-2012 That looks great. I am always impressed by such handled track work. Re: Indiana City - modelsof1900 - 06-16-2012 I would like to repeat: Looks great! And I wish you trouble-free rolling about this track segments! Re: Indiana City - Harry - 06-16-2012 looks great!!!!! Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-16-2012 Thank you for your praise. Bernd, maybe this will "calm you down" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4ZsOWGv-ag&feature=youtu.be Re: Indiana City - BR60103 - 06-16-2012 Joerg: Do you have any rejects of the crossing? An odd set like that should have a couple of replacements sitting around in case of problems. Re: Indiana City - IndyCity - 06-17-2012 So, and almost as the end of this week's holiday a little test drive video of the intersection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hws2GN9ae68 And then this picture of the intersection. Had to see how it looks finished : have a nice day. |
