for old folks - yellowlynn - 04-03-2009 I ran across a link today that the older, mature gentlemen (spelled Geezer) may find very interesting. http://www.objflicks.com Lynn Re: for old folks - doctorwayne - 04-03-2009 Thanks for that link, Lynn. Yeah, I'm not embarrassed to admit that I looked, although I was expecting to see some swell dames, mebbe flashin' their classy gams. Still interesting, though. Wayne (you can call me Mister Geezer) Re: for old folks - TrainNut - 04-03-2009 I must be really old at heart as I really liked that site. A lot of stuff in there that's right on. Re: for old folks - nomad - 04-03-2009 Boy, did that one about the fifties bring back the memories. Thanks for the link. Loren Re: for old folks - Steamtrains - 04-03-2009 I don't know why I looked...Not being a geezer..or anything.... Good site for all you ol' geezers.... Re: for old folks - eightyeightfan1 - 04-04-2009 Interesting site. I had to grab my walker and get the old lady so we could "reminisce" together. I would of looked at more but I can't find my reading glasses. Re: for old folks - Bigsteel - 04-04-2009 im not nearly old enough to know about the "old days" first hand, but i love learning and thinking about what it was like.i even have the "gee i wish i were a man,id join the NAVY" poster --josh Re: for old folks - yellowlynn - 04-04-2009 I'm glad most of you enjoy it. I have watched several, but I still have a few to go. The "Pledge of Allegiance" by Red Skelton, and Audie Murphy are my favorites so far. Lynn Re: for old folks - Herc Driver - 04-04-2009 Red Skelton's piece should be mandatory viewing for all kids. And if you ever can find it...listen to John Wayne's version too. Great stuff. Re: for old folks - Steamtrains - 04-05-2009 Red Skelton was one of my favorite comics. Together with Jack Benny. Those guys could make you laugh by lifting an eyebrow....Nowadays they need a whole collection of obscenities and ethnic slurs to get a rise out of people. Sad.... (Just to clarify....I've seen re-runs of their programs....As I mentioned before, not an old geezer, so I didn't catch them "live"... ) |
