Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - Will_Annand - 02-09-2009 Looking real good Lynn. Excellent work and interesting scenes. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-09-2009 Thanks Will, I've been working on the sawmill , very slow going, i'm looking forward to seeing what your progress turns out on your layout as well. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-10-2009 Here's a few pictures of the sawmill. This is a very slow going build but I'm enjoying it. Any suggestions are welcome. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - eightyeightfan1 - 02-10-2009 Can't rush perfection. Looks good. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-11-2009 eightyeightfan1 Wrote:Can't rush perfection. Thanks, I'm hoping to get the castings in place today which would then allow me to get the roof cross beams in and the roof trusses. The roof itself has been very time consuming one board at a time. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - Trucklover - 02-11-2009 Lynn that is looking sweet!! Keep up the great work I love all the machinery inside, that is too cool Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-11-2009 Thanks Josh, this kit has a ton of castings that will also litter the interior walls as well as junk barrels for outside that all will be added very soon. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-11-2009 Here's a few pics with the windows hanging on. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-11-2009 These are pictures of the main roof, there are two halves of course, I'm trying to beat it up best I can, after all it wasn't about looks back then it was about making money and having a good time. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-15-2009 Been puttering along with the sawmill build. The rafters all done and roofing done well except for the 3 barrels to be installed on the peak. I tried to beat it up a bit. The castings I have left are mostly for the ground around the sawmill. As you can see I made the whole a bit bigger to fit the dioramma, I think once I reshape the river next to the sawmill it should look pretty good. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - upnick - 02-15-2009 Hi Lynn, Great progress shots the roof looks so cool and realistic Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - OBJack - 02-16-2009 It is a great build Lynn. The colour you have been able to apply to the timber is the Winner for me. It makes it all the detail so believable. keep us posted. Jack Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - tetters - 02-16-2009 That looks really good Lynn! Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - LynnB - 02-16-2009 Thanks guys I hope to build the sawdust conveyor and finish off the roof today. I think one led should lite up the building nicely. I also have a sawdust burner that will be built for the sawmill. Re: L&M Rocky Mountain Pass - Spitfire - 02-16-2009 Wow Lynn this thread is total eye-candy. I can't believe I missed it until now. The progress on the layout is very inspiring, and I love the look of your scenery. The rocks and tress are spot on! I'm looking forward to following your progress on the sawmill. It looks amazing so far. Keep up the fantastic work, and don't worry about how long it takes. Your patience is already being rewarded! cheers Val |
