This is where the new station will be, in the grass (not that kind of grass!! Nope ) area.

Re: TEAR IT OUT!!! - Lester Perry - 07-22-2009

Alright I have an up date. No pics but I feel I got a lot done between yesterday and today. My son helped me a little and all of the I will call it bench work is done. Most of the track is down I hope to have it operational tomorrow. If I do I will video the first run on it for you. I will post it even if it is a disaster. Wish me luck. Eek

Re: TEAR IT OUT!!! - Lester Perry - 07-24-2009

OK I didn't video the first run. I have a good excuse though. I left my camera in the house. My train building is 300 plus feet from my house, need I say more? So this is the second trip from end to end. The first trip was the same except I found a joint I forgot to solder. I made short runs while building it but they were 3 or4 foot test runs as I put the track down. So enough talk here it is.

The noise you here is the camera focusing I think. But all looks good. I need to make some elevation adjustments. That should be easy enough. Then phase 2. Scenery

Believe it or not there is a method to that madness. Most of it is to the approximately 30 switches in my yard.

Its not that bad here is how you go where you want

It is actually very easy, there is a pointer that is not in the picture you touch it to the shiny place on the track you wish to go to and that is it

Re: TEAR IT OUT!!! - Steamtrains - 07-25-2009

A good "first" run....Any time an engine doesn't jump the tracks or stall can be called succesfull..!!

Are you sure you don't have a bull frog stuck away somewhere in the layout..?? Eek

Last but not least....can you elaborate on how that business with the panel works..??

Re: TEAR IT OUT!!! - railroader9731 - 07-25-2009
