Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 05-03-2011 Great picture Todd. Do you got anymore? Hey everyone, as of right now the website is getting updated. Some pages may not be up at this time so please don't think something is wrong with it. Go check out what has been done so far and feedback is always welcome. I started the updates yesterday and alot more are coming today. Each page is getting an update to bring it up to date with pictures and the video page will be updated at a later date once all photo's have been added. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the website and I hope you continue too. Stay safe out there while railfanning. Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 05-03-2011 Hey guys if any of you have photo's of conrail units with NS numbers please post them. They are fading fast into NS paint. There was only a 100 left in conrail blue but when I last heard there was only 97 or so left. Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - FCIN - 05-03-2011 Matthew; Here are a few that I shot last year. An SD-60 And a couple of SD-60M's The units still in Conrail paint are getting few and far between, but do see one now and then. Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 05-04-2011 Thanks Ed. They are becoming rare. There are less than a 100 left in conrail blue on NS. Don't know about CSX. If anyone has photo's of just one that would be great. I know that is alot of locomotives but maybe a few of you have some photo's. All help is welcome Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 05-05-2011 Also if anyone has N&W and Southern locomotive pictures that would be great too. Seen there was two in the entire thread and saved those to the computer and will be putting them on the website tomorrow. Please if any of you could help and get me a couple pictures of the locomotives in the list that would be great. There does not have to be a bunch of photo's of them just a couple. I did find in the thread a picture of 4610 which is a GP59 but if anyone has more pictures of that engine it would help out more. Thank you to all who contributed to the website so far. I need to get out and photograph (freight cars mostly) in New Jersey. Boundbrook used to be the place but since the murder at the station a couple of weeks ago it seems a bit iffy! Someone recommended Ridgefield - but I'm unfamiliar with that area - anyone care to comment? Many thanks. Pete. Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - FCIN - 05-09-2011 Here are a couple of the video's I shot today of NS 955 returning from it's visit to the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, KY. After being delayed at Shelbyville, KY for about 20 hours due to a freight derailment near there, it finally got moving toward Danville and then on to Cincinnati after a crew change and fueling. In the first video, 955 is leaving the siding at East Talmage, KY (just north of Harrodsburg) at 12:19 after meeting 793 the Georgia Power empty coal train and mixed freight 168. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osJ0PqzUzrE And here is 955 running at speed through Georgetown, KY at 14:30 in route to Cincinnati. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWbP1qTcQHI Class Act! |
