Old Picture of the day - Charlie B - 07-08-2009 Here is a link to a blog that is a treasure chest of old photos that help with modeling details. http://old-photos.blogspot.com/ Not all of them are helpful for modeling, but there are some real jewels here. Today's picture shows an old grocery store front, and at the top of the windows are little pictures of the "Old Dutch Cleanser" lady. I remember Old Dutch Cleanser, but had forgot about the paintings on the glass store fronts. I seem to recall the Morton Salt girl painted like these too. It's little details like this that I have forgotten that really dress up a layout. You can download the picture and enlarge it a little more to see the details. Charlie Re: Old Picture of the day - MasonJar - 07-08-2009 Great resource! Thanks for the link. And the "unsecured wifi" commentary is hilarious! Andrew Re: Old Picture of the day - nomad - 07-08-2009 This guy is a hoot! I spent the last half hour reading some of his stories and am still laughing. Thanks for the link. His fixation on getting a tractor for his birthday is pretty funny too! Great writing. Andrew Re: Old Picture of the day - viperman - 07-09-2009 That is a great site, thanks for the link! |
