Here is a few shelves i put together... The top one holds an HO MU passenger car and a wooden "Build it kit" Engine, Passenger car and Caboose.

Second shelf has a wooden Playschool train and an Avon steam engine decanter. Also seen is the Lost in Space Robot through the glass Smile

Bottom Shelf (Bottom of window between the work room and the layout room is a Dynamic Brake Controller from a Diesel and a larger Die cast train -- Engine, Tender and Passenger car.

To the left is a display case with different collectibles in it.

The story goes......... Like this: (from Wikipedia)
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York,_Chicago_and_St._Louis_Railroad">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York,_ ... s_Railroad</a><!-- m -->

....... Another reason for the popularity of the New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railway was the positive economic impact on cities that any new railroad went through at that time. During a newspaper war to attract the New York, Chicago and St. Louis the Norwalk, Ohio Chronicle Newspaper referred to the New York, Chicago and St. Louis as "... double-track nickel-plated railroad." The New York, Chicago and St. Louis adopted the nickname and it became better known as the Nickel Plate Road.....

... So I took a slice of the "rail" ..........................
