Charlie Slater showed me a builder's plate off LAJ #4. It's definitively BLUE. He said they used the Santa Fe's blue & only had to drive/walk to Hobart to get the paint!

Here are the decals made by Rail Graphics for the HO LAJ ALCO S-2s & S-4s. For HO scale you'll have to use the zebra stripes from Microscale 60-1161. Figure they are about 1/2 the size of the Santa Fe zebra stripes, comparing the Santa Fe & LAJ zebra stripes. You'll have to order before 1/1/18 as Rail Graphics will be shut down by then.
