Old computer harddisk - faraway - 02-11-2012

I did save a bunch of old computer harddisk. They are great weights but they have also perfect right angles. This photo is a fake done for demonstration but that is the way I do most corners of my shoe boxes. The heavy harddisk keep the styrene sheets easy in place until the glue has set. That way a harddisk becomes a tool.

That's a clever use of an otherwise useless item! Thumbsup

That's very cool! I usually strip them for the magnet inside

Hah - I knew I some day would be able to tell my wife that the useless old disks I "pack ratted" away would come in handy for something :-)

Thanks for the tip!

Smile,
Stein

Mine is mounted in a USB box -- I won't risk losing the data but I still can't get at some of it.
