thanks gentleman for the kind words. i was just lucky to have caught it when and where i did . when i got there they were in the middle of a crew change so it was stopped for a few minutes. the crews were very friendly as well.it

ive seen photos of this locomotive before and they do not do it justice. it looks so much more impressive in person.

Wow...they did a nice job on that one too!

Re: Norfolk Southern Heritage Fleet - e-paw - 05-28-2012

I just came upon this thread, and the photos of the new units are great..As a side note the Anthracite Railroad Historical Society is very involved with NS in the research for the new paint scheme. And yes,, there will be a CNJ unit. Thumbsup

Re: Norfolk Southern Heritage Fleet - Puddlejumper - 05-29-2012

NS definitely deserves major props for this heritage program. The RDG "Bee Line" unit is amazing! And they have even gone so far as to reletter the cab of the NKP unit to get the correct font of the old Nickel Plate. Hats off to the employees of the NS for a job well done. Thumbsup

Re: Norfolk Southern Heritage Fleet - LiveSteamer - 05-30-2012

NS is sending units back to the paint booth for corrections. Full Story here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.easternrailroadnews.com/2012/05/29/ns-sending-some-heritage-units-back-to-the-booth/">http://www.easternrailroadnews.com/2012 ... the-booth/</a><!-- m -->

Mikey....Those are SUPERB ! Thanks for being "on the SPOT !"...and sharing. I'm not sure this'll work (or that it's appropriate), as I received the link to some also beautiful shots by Mr. Dave Davies (for which I thank Dave D. and my email friend) displayed on "trainorders"...they don't yet show on his "railpictures" gallery. Please Mod out the link if it's doubtful or objectionable for any reason. Bob C. The link is: http://members.trainorders.com/ddavies/News/news.htm
