Modelling South West U.S. / Mexico circa 1910 - teejay - 09-16-2012

If anyone is considering modelling these areas , an outstanding source of pics and images can be found on the PS3 ( or XBox 360 ) with " Red Dead Redemption "by Rockstar . In addition to being an amazing game , the scenery , buidings , abandoned structures , mines , docks and all , are really well presented . An integral part of the game is the old 4-6-0 woodburner you can ride on .

I couldn't help but think of Mal Furlow's modelling as I played the game .

I watched a friend of mine playing that game. I didn't thought it could be that much prototypical, but I must agree they did a good job on the locomotive.

Remembers me when I derailled a train in GTA San Andreas... hum... feels like something was wrong with gravity.

Red Dead Redemption is a phenomenal game from what I've seen. As soon as I get a new Xbox to replaced my RROD paperweight I plan to finish it.

The previous game , Red Dead Revolver ( PS2 ) wasn't nearly as sophisticated because it lacked the technology of PS3 , but there was an old armored train in that game that was really cool . You couldn't drive it although there was a battle scene on the train you could participate in . If anyone is into armor , that would be a good reference .
