Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 05-06-2013

Im out for a summer and well crappy weather layout, Its built on 2x8 sheets of foam 1inch and 2 inch. The railroad is set to be a 2nd class shortline road that is served by conrail interchange track at Kenwood and via car float at Hudson Bay. The HBL has industries at Huson Bay that consist of Hudson harbor, Remington foundry and Hanlin casket co. Kenwood consists of Midtown construction, Team track, Moore & company and the MRH cerial factory. Here also is the engine and car grounds. Recently the HBL bought an abandoned line from the Short Creek Line that has 2 industries Burton chemical and Jade coal. So with this said you can find a spot set out a chair and prepair to see just about any rail car pass by you and if rail action is slow you can drop a line in the two creeks in the area and try and catch big Wally.

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 09-15-2014

Well as most know all model railroad life was upended on june 28 2013 due to flood. So a lot has slowed down for me since then and modeling has been at a slow pace for me. 1 just have jitters over a rebuild of a pike. 2 uncertain future of the home for it . But I must give all of you modelers a big thank you even tho it don't seem you may have helped OHHH but you have by posting your work here, it has kept me inspired. There for I have built a new Hudson bay line layout 4x8 plus the 2x7 short creek line. So with that said thank you for the time of reading this post and a HUGE THANK YOU for keeping me going/interested. Pics to come Cheers

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 11-03-2014

Update I know I was going to do more work on the layout and post pics... Icon_lol Yet work has a major pain as some of you may relate, any way we got the word 2 weeks ago that we were set to return home Tongue With that the packing began and the HBL was tore down and moved back home with a nice 8x8 area (rough guess) to play with. Sigh... time to rebuild...... Wait I mean YAY!!!!!! more room to play. Will drop in sometime and hope to have track plan made up.

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 11-04-2014

Today after some unpacking and being welcomed back home I took some measurements and I have a 9ft 1/4 inch by 9ft 3/4 inch room. so now to go track planning.

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 11-05-2014

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 10-01-2015

Ok even tho I've been lurking in the dark side of things I have made a huge amount of progress and like to update things. I have decided on a double deck layout and have built the bottom part over the past few months ( some things still subject to minor changes). I have gone with the Hudson bay line will have control of the bottom then once I do upper level conrail will have control of top that way I can proto free lance the layout. Any way just a tabs on things and will post pics soon Cheers

Re: Hudson Bay Line - railroader9731 - 10-04-2015
