Re: The traveling Grande Valley Railway - Catt - 09-02-2013

I had planned to have more done before I posted another update, but that darn thing called life keeps getting in the way.Anyway here is the latest pic taken about a half hour ago.If your wondering about the brown backdrop I need to get to Wally world and and get a rattle can of cheap white primer before it will turn blue.Just like my Z layout everytime this one is seen at a show it will be different.

Nuther update, trying to decide what kind of siding to use on the black building.Current thinking is to do it in brick curtain wall but have not made up my mind yet.

What? No glass and steel? Well I like it anyway. Cheers

Re: The traveling Grande Valley Railway - Catt - 09-13-2013

I plan to make alternate buildings to fit in the same locations as this first bunch will have. Some will be allglass from the street side.

Re: The traveling Grande Valley Railway - Catt - 09-17-2013

Here is the latest update pic.Next project will be a coat of paint on the white building (once it warms up currently 53 degrees in Sliver City). This layout like the Z will actuallky be built between shows. In other words it will look different in some way at each show.Another common trait with the Z is it will never be finished but it will be "done" many times. One trait it will not share with the Z is this layout will never grow it will stay at 32" x 48" as long as I own it.

Oh and one more thing .I started building the staging track cassette last night when it is used the layout will be an actual 7' long. Eek

Re: The traveling Grande Valley Railway - Catt - 09-23-2013

Nuther pic.this time with the casette attached.Casette is wide enough to hold one more track if desired. Please ignore the mess in the back ground as it is another ongoing project(not the mess, the layout).
