photo programs - Lester Perry - 09-23-2013

A few years back someone told about a free program that basically cropped, changed color filters, contrast. There were no overlays or real fancy editing tools just basics. I loved it and lost it in a crash. Hopefully someone who reads this will remember it and reply with info. I remember nothing about the name.

Might have been XNView that I really liked in the past when I had XP . I use the Photobucket edit now but it isn't as good as the old XNView that was a free download .

The program I've been using for years is PhotoPlus by Serif. It's easy to use for basic functions, and they do have a free version on their website. Here is the link to their free version: http://www.serif.com/free-photo-editing-software/

I have one of the later versions, but still use one that is several years old since it does everything I need. The free version should as well.

Irfanview is another free editing software, I use it occasionally and find it easy to use for the simpler jobs.

It may also be one of the programs from this site - very good products http://www.faststone.org/
