The model railroad is built by a club that uses a building at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio California.
I haven't been here in a while, but when I saw this video I thought of you guys and had to share. I glanced through the site a bit, but didn't see it posted.

There are a number of these on YouTube, some in HO scale.
Nanny cams can be mounted pretty much anywhere these days, and are very useful for keeping an eye on those hidden areas of a layout.

What particularly noticed was the detail in the cab interior. I've seen some of the new Genesis Diesels with detailed cab interiors and wondered why anyone would care about that much detail when you can't see it from any normal viewing angle. Now I understand!

That's clever! I recently viewed a similar video with an F unit cab template. Pretty creative way to video a trip around the layout!

I always wanted to do something similar. Ever since I got that New Haven MU controller, I've wanted to A.) find a matching brake piece, but I'd also love to mount a camera into one of my cab cars or MUs, and try and run the train from the prototype controller.
That will be a distant project (so much electronics to learn, no one to teach it!)

Funny you should say that. I run a train cam for my own entertainment and it revealed all kinds of things that didn't look good. That motivated me to make some improvements and continues to do so!
