Outstanding presentation of a company Big Grin

On topic: I did just order ZIMO MX634D DCC decoders with 21 MTC interface for my GMD-1. That will lift the smoothness and silentness of the drive to another level.

I had forgotten all about how neat these little canadians are, if you ask me perfect power to the rather limited sized consists. I guess Jason & his friends will ship a few units to Sweden. I guess coupled in pairs, there will be just what the doctor ordered. would like to see a report & clip how they perform on your great layout! Smile

I am afraid they do not so voluntary.... but need a fixed order. Looks like there is a high demand and only limited supply. I got one, the second last one DC with red cab, from a German dealer (AAT) and ordered another one from MB Klein. The first one arrived about a week ago the other arrived at the local customs office today awaiting to be picked up on Monday.
That is the pain with the Chinese batch production. You get it either now or sometimes never.

Our LHS has a few in their showcase with the red & black paint. One of our guys is waiting for a green one.

Would love to see the striped version of the rebuilds out soon. Would look great in a consist with weathered old paintschemes. In manyways they are pretty much perfect for a layout. After all we don't have the space to run lashups of Sd70.s with a healthy consists of double stacks without having it overwhelming Everything. it is small enough Engine, more modern than RS3.s with same dimensions I Think and will look great hauling grain on plains or on a switching jobs. This time I am pretty kean on a pair of sound units too. I like by the way most of CN Paints, as they allways look like hard working engines and as CN and Cp runs coat to coast, you might have change of hearts on locations and both roads ran allmost on any scenery over Canada and now in US.

Sounds like bad news for my bank account... But first i will target on the red nose versions, a pair of them will break up things nicely from any uniform striped units. Funny enough I forgot all about how perfect units they are for my pans. Another thing, it seem like I am getting more and more small units, when I am old I might go for loads for GE 44-tonners as main line units. lol

Yes,its very tempting to patch out the CN and put either SSRY or SCR on the side. 8-)

They look good, I guess they look even bteer with the weathering you did, it blends the colors nicely!

Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 09-21-2014

The addition of many tiny details continues. Some examples:

Loading dock space gets separated from the track for safety reasons. The forklift in the background got a good load of dirt.

Guardrails define parking space and a fire hydrant is protected by yellow tubes. Yellow/black stripes warn the break man when hanging at the car shoved into the building.

Former glossy delivery trucks get a coat of black wash. Lizenz places are among other things on top of my growing things to do list.

Curbstones at fire hydrants became red painted.

Nothing important but a lot of fun doing small simple things Smile
