Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 10-20-2014 The row is integrated into the scenery Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Twist - 10-20-2014 Hi, looking very good, those Downtown kits are great to build....keep the things going, again great attention to details... Cheers,Chris Re: Freelance 2014-2 - torikoos - 10-20-2014 Great looking scene Reinhard. All you need now is a few people, perhaps a lady of leisure negotiating with some customers? :-) Oh and a few steps leading into the door of Madam Wong, the treshold looks a little high at the moment? Koos PS: Did you order direct from them and did you pay that silly shipping rate of USD40,- first item, and 10 each next? That to me seems pure extortion... I know they're fragile etc, but I haven't had any issues with broken Woodland scenic tunnel portals etc yet either.... Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 10-20-2014 Thanks for the kind words. Two steps added (the ladies still stay inside, a new car for the CoCo Club manager is on order) Koos, I ordered from AAT ( http://www.aat-net.de/index.php?main_pa ... h=29_67761 ). Downtown Deco isn not on stock but I got it with 2 two weeks. The shipping cost and cost in general was not the reason to order it local. I wanted the better protection of German law if the delicate plaster arrives in may many parts. Downtown Deco states very kind handling of broken parts but time and cost of a second shipment from the US is in any case a pain. Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 10-22-2014 The "manager" of the COCO Club got a new car. Those kind of "managers" had cars like that when I was a boy in Hamburg many many years ago. pls notice the step at the pawn shop and the arrow pointing to the right only at the no parking sign Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Mike Kieran - 10-22-2014 Reinhard, that car is pimpolicious!!! Nicely executed. Re: Freelance 2014-2 - lajry - 10-22-2014 Reinhard Great modeling as usual! Seems like the trash can should be at the side of the building & not right next to the front door. In that kind of neighborhood it would always be knocked over & the trash scattered all around. Of course if "Big Joe Palooka" is standing guard w/ his shotgun in his hands there won't be ANY problems. LOL Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Twist - 10-24-2014 HI Reinhard, Very nice looking scene...I think I´ll steal some inspirations for my version of that building and have saved the photos for later use... keep things going, Cheers,Chris Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 10-26-2014 I am planning a change of this industry complex. I prefer the older brick buildings like the Middlesex industry from Atlas. The positive test results with the Addams Ave from Downtown Deco encouraged me to plan replacement of the background and the foreground structures with Downtown Deco kits Foreground "Horowitz Garment Company" http://www.downtowndeco.com/site/?p=93 Background "Front Street Flat" http://www.downtowndeco.com/site/?p=1136 Both kits are on order. I hope to get the first one, the foreground building, in about two weeks. ps. 4 month, 28 days 8:35 hours remaining until retirement Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Brakie - 10-26-2014 Reinhard,I kinda hate to see that nice factory along the backdrop replace..It looks great. Anywoo I look forward in seeing photos of the changes. Re: Freelance 2014-2 - faraway - 10-26-2014 Brakie Wrote:Reinhard,I kinda hate to see that nice factory along the backdrop replace..It is no as bad as it sounds. An architectural very similar complex at the west end is unaffected from the change. Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Tyson Rayles - 10-26-2014 Fits perfectly! Re: Freelance 2014-2 - Painkiller - 10-27-2014 Looks perfect! Re: Freelance 2014-2 - torikoos - 10-27-2014 Nicely done Reinhard. Glad the step is in place now :-) Re: Freelance 2014-2 - newhaven48 - 10-27-2014 I continue to be amazed and impressed by your building skills and how you keep reinventing your layout. If that background building needs to find a new home it would fit right in to my small switching layout. As it is only 18" wide, I already have several background building from Walthers. Best wishes on your progress and to your count down to retirement. Al Jones |
