Good morning all. Well, it rained on and off all day yesterday and last night. Not very much here, but lots in other places. As of the 6:00 news, we had .04" of rain while other parts of the valley had up to 3/4". I was talking to my shooting buddy and he decided there was too much rain to go out today. He said that it was coming down in sheets where he was, but we had none and a glimpse of the sun. Anyway, whatever we had, that was a record in Phoenix since there was never any recorded rain for June 5. There's another hurricane out in the Pacific Ocean and we're expected to get the tail end of that later on in the week. We always welcome rain, and I guess we can always go out target shooting next weekend.

Morning all. Sunny and warm. HS graduation this afternoon. I have to sit on the stage and smile.

Tom, they moved so you can walk off the results of the ice cream. Wink

Have a good weekend.

Years ago I remember seeing a sign while driving through Texas:
"Eat in,
Buses welcome"

I had a problem wondering if the bus could just drive right in, or the people had to get out and walk in.

Morning Blue
Sun and 80, that is until the storms arrive this evening.
I'm thinkin we may head to Detroit and spend some of the kids inheritance at Greek Town casino.
For the price of a tip we use the indoor valet parking. So all we have to worry about is getting in and out of town alive.
However to be fair the downtown area always has a large police presence.

Greetings, gang.

Lots of sunshine and 70 degrees this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. High for today is predicted to be in the mid 80s.

Not a lot happened around here over the weekend and today looks to be fairly quiet also. Last nigh I slept for 8 1/2 hours. Very unusual for me. Normally I sleep about 5 or 6.

All stay safe.

Tom

Wow,

Got good news from podiatrists it is not the bone spur causing the pain but plantar phantitist caused by a strained and very tight tendon. Just have to take it easy and some medicine for inflammation--- 2285_ no surgery needed 2285_ ---

Work is the same for the next 90 days then some employees have to re-interview with new owners to keep the job they already have.

No new train news, been to tired in pain and somewhat lazy as far as working on trains.

Greetings, gang.

Partly cloudy and 63 outside my window this morning. High for today is supposed to be in the low 90s.

AF - glad to hear the good news about your foot.

This morning I'm headed to the attic to get rid of some of the empty boxes that My Fair Lady insisted we keep "at least until the warranty runs out." Not much else planned for today other than avoid the heat.

All stay safe.

Tom

Good morning all, suppose to rain today and tomorrow morning----or maybe all week. It still boggles my mind when on TV gal tells us that it'll rain every day from Monday through Saturday, and another gives you a different story. Like the Weather Channel is saying today and tomorrow is it for rain caused by this hurricane that hit Mexico, I think it's "Hurricane Bianca".... What bothers me, as an engineer, I find that if two people are faced with the exact same data, they should logically come to the same conclusion, and I do believe that all these weather people get their data from the same place, the National Weather Service. Unless they feel obligated to add their own spin to things, the info that they tell us should be alike.

And then again, it might not rain at all..... 35 35

AF: that plantar fasciitis thing can be painful and makes walking really difficult. I had it about a year ago, wore a boot to bed for a while and it seemed to disappear as quickly as it came. Good luck.

Hello Blue
Sun and 80 today.
Chief I be here. Lost everything but my boxers, for some reason they said I could keep em.
Me thinks the machines had been set for weekend mode, I didn't see anyone make a good win.
But it cost less than a ball game and a heap less than a theme park, so that's our entertainment.
We only take an agreed upon amount and spend no more than that. Also had a good meal in Detroit's Greektown.
No plans for today.

Yes it was very painful I had a very noticeable limp by end of shift, It hurt standing, walking, sitting and laying down so I went to work as I would get paid and be miserable at work vs. be miserable at home with no pay. No boot for me this time Big Grin Also need to get a new pair sneakers as mine are wore out I use new balance because the toe box fits my feet better then most other brands.

Just knowing that it does not require surgery is a big load off my mind Smile

Once I adjust to the new way of things at work I will then pick back up on the train stuff and the bridge of the Enterprise model.

Anytime you can beat having surgery is a good day. Thumbsup Yeah, mine just went away one day. I went a bought a good boot (all I had was a $20 co-pay), wore it once or twice and it just cleared up. I can't attribute that to the boot, since I think it caused more problems than it solved, but I think my foot just decided to heal at the thought of having to wear that big ugly thing. 357 Applause
