Re: Drivers... - Steamtrains - 07-14-2015

Good morning to you all..!!

This post is totally not train related, but knowing there are many "techies" here, I turn to you for help on a problem that is giving me ulcers... Wallbang

It turns out my "regular" computer (Dell Inspiron 530S) went belly up a couple of days ago so I pulled out my "back-up" computer, a Dell Inspiron One 2020, that I hardly ever use. My problem is that this computer lacks the drivers for my printer, an HP Deskjet D1520.
My question is...Where can I get the drivers, and how do I go about installing/activating them..??
Operating system is Windows 7.

Any and all sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Gus - this says you should already have the drivers in Windows 7 but you should be able to download from this <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://support.hp.com/za-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Deskjet-D1500-Printer-series/3374271/model/3568416">http://support.hp.com/za-en/drivers/sel ... el/3568416</a><!-- m -->

Further development....It turns out that I can print a **.doc file. But if I highlight text, as I would do if I wanted to print something from the net, then it doesn't print. I believe I could do this before...

Morning. Weather forecasters. Curse Curse Famed Rolesville bypass opening delayed due to forecasts of severe weather by dark. Not a cloud showed up. Should open tonight late.

Another day of doing errands and I'm sure TV interviews about bypass.

Have a good one.

Work is work no major changes yet.

Some one mentioned Krispy Kreme doughnuts, my 2nd favorite doughnut, in Columbus Ohio Buckeye doughnuts are the best they have 2 locations one on OSU Campus and one just south of downtown. I have an S gauge flat with 2 K.K. delivery vans as a load.

Tomatoes are doing fine but some critter eaten all the leaves of my pepper plants which were full of blooms Curse Shoot

Been busy at home and at work last few weeks. Trains need some attention maybe next week I can get some spare time to build kits and complete scratch building projects.

Good evening to you all, poor old weather forecasters, i had an early 8.15 start to go to the hospital to have my Glaucoma checked and on the car radio was the national weather forecast,"today will be a cloudy or damp start for most of us but it will brighten later to give sunny spells in the north",while listening to this i was looking at a beautiful blue cloudless sky ! oops !
After the hospital it was up to the model boat club for a few hours, tea and lunch.Returning home i mowed the lawn and watered the plants,so all in all a productive day.
Another early start tomorrow, doctors apointment this time, getting old now so everything is starting to go rusty, this time its a gammy knee !! but the weather forecast is good again. 2285_
Keep well all of you.
Don.

Good afternoon all. Yet another busy day. Had a major leak in our yard watering system, I thought it was another dribbler controller, but the guy that does our yardwork (we used to do it all until, like the other Don [gwyn68], we find that we're past the age of doing stuff like that  ), found that the leak was in the pipe under the driveway. How's that for luck? Wallbang Well, it's fixed now, but I have a feeling that our water bill is going to be sky high for July.

The Weather Channel says, "an abundance of sunshine" for today, and they're right, temps right now at 4 PM are 104, a bit lower than forecast. Rain on and off in the forecast for the rest of this week and next week as well, but that's what they always say this time of the year. They seem to agree on one thing, the highs for this weekend may not even get past 100.. Applause

Good Morning Blue
We have sun for today.
Got out early for a haircut but lots of traffic. Local construction all over the place has put a lot of it on our main street.
Not awful, just more than normal. Of course I got every red light there and back.
Yep every one. Nothing new from the train store.

Tonight I started to pack up my modern equipment from my freelanced ISL and realized I have a lot of gear that won't fit my era and the debate begins on whether to keep it for down the road or sell it off since I don't see it coming out of boxes anytime soon.

Re: The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!! - ezdays - 07-17-2015

Good morning everyone, the start of yet another weekend. Hard to believe that we're winding down to the end of July. We're still in or "Monsoon" season, so I guess we can expect rain most any day, I can't say for sure right now since the %$&@#@ Weather Channel desktop app is screwed up again. Curse Current conditions all show as "N/A", yet they are still able to keep their paid ad active. No weather data, just an ad for a dress. 35 They don't say where to buy this dress, nope Nope ... just a picture of it and a name. Still, even those TV people are saying that this weekend won't get up to 100 which is rare for us. I've seen summers where the high temps were always in the triple-digits clear through the middle of September.

Guess it's time to shutdown the Weather Channel app and restart it....again... I keep on getting updates, but they still have this same problem. One other one is that this app will cause my computer to lock up. Yup, ctrl-alt-del and shutting down the app usually gets it back. I'd change apps but I like the amount of data this app shows, when it works... Crazy

Morning all. Been super Mayor busy. Famed bypass is OPEN!!!! Then feeding kids for the summer kick off was yesterday morning. Meeting with School board Chair and Vie-chair yesterday afternoon. Fizzled out yesterday evening and last night. Stayed home instead of going to a big Raleigh reception. Out early this AM for coffee with pretty WakeMed [big hospital] rep. Now for some computer time before a meeting with school principal. Mayors' annual baseball game outing at minor league stadium. Hotdogs, burgers and fried chicken.

Hope all have a great weekend.

Don, put a shortcut to these links on your desktop, no app, no junk

As a rule I find this very accurate, and no hype nor ads, and in the radar maps, very easy to go to other areas.

Thanks Charlie, I might just as well have a link to a Net forecast rather than a desktop app that doesn't work. I can just add these links to my desktop. My app started working a while ago, but it is now back to no data and only an ad for shoes. Wallbang I've tried other apps and widgets, and none have the detail that the Weather Channel app does..... when it works that is. Icon_lol
