The Salem Ohio Restore had their first ever hobby night last night. Prices were fair and even though I need nothing I got 7 building kits and a package of LPP's (that need painted) and a package of 8 cows, 2 packages of maintenance sheds and 2 reefers. all for $31 bucks. My wife found a nice office chair for 5 bucks which she got for me. Lots of Tyco stuff still in the box but I have too much of that to get rid of.

Evenin' Everyone ............looks like there will be lots of trains in my future ......just received an email from a lawyer I've never heard of , telling my "great aunt " I've never heard of , died ( she would have to have been damn old because I'm about to hit 70
) ,,,and I COULD be getting 15.5 MILLION out of the deal ! For real ! ....just follow his instructions , and , and

39 and cloudy this morning. It's supposed to be partly cloudy and 61 by this afternoon.
Actually got everything on my to do list done yesterday. Only one substitution - went for a 14 mile bike ride instead of going to the gym. Today I'm off to Ames for some shopping (and restaurants) that's not available locally.

It's 57 out side right now going up to upper 70's today suppose to be like 81 tomorrow I think. I'm waiting until we actually buy this place after the first of the year but I'm thinking of trying in here ( the smallest room 8' x 11' I think ) anyway it has some old wood floors which over time someone painted part of them ( it's really funny you can see where there was a rug and they painted right around the rug never lifting the rug ) any want to see if I can sand that and the rest of the floor and then seal it and see what it looks like. If I like I may do the rest of the house room by room Which would really only be 3 more rooms Our bedroom,the living room and the Dinning room but there all a lot bigger but still would be a nice out come I think.
Oh well onward we shall go nothing planned for today other than reorganize this room again as going thru it getting stuff that did sell and I listed on Choochoo I made a mess again ( its a small room so it's not hard to do.)
Time to go make something to eat not sure yet but will figure out something.

57 presently suppose to go to 81 before the day is over was out side already and it felt warmer than any 57 so so figure the temp displayed on puter is of a ways feels more like 70 already. Have Dr. appointment at the V.A. today which is probably a good thing as not in the best of attitudes today Hope all have a good day will talk to you all later.

Greetings, gang.
It's chili weather today - rainy, windy, and cool. It's 54 degrees with rain and 15-20 mph winds. Rain will end tonight and it's supposed to be sunny through the weekend.
It's been a rough but ultimately good week. Over the weekend I noticed a sore on my tongue. Had it not been for my son's current challenges (cancer on tongue) I wouldn't have given the sore a second thought. So I saw the doctor on Monday afternoon. She sent me to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. Also set up a CT scan since I had smoked for so long. Saw the ENT doc yesterday morning and she said it was nothing to worry about. Had the CT scan yesterday afternoon and by the time I got home there was a call from my primary physician saying it's not urgent. I'm thinking "OK, it's not urgent but is it important?" Her office was closed by the time I got home so I had to wait until this morning. Talked to her and she said lungs are clear and set up a reminder to get another CT scan next year. Best possible news!
While I was in Ames I had time to kill between appointments so I did some shopping. Picked up an Accurail 40' boxcar lettered for the West India Fruit and Steamship Co. along with some supplies - razor saw, exacto blades, etc. Then after my CT scan I called Reindeer Pass to see if my log cars were in. They were! Picked up those and a double herald PFE reefer.
Between the doctor's news and the shopping trip I'm in a really good mood today.
Continuing prayers for those in need.

Greetings, gang.
The day is starting with clouds and 48 degrees and will finish with sunshine and 60, or so they say. We received about a half inch of much needed rain yesterday, along with another batch of leaves that the trees no longer need. The leaves will wait until at least Monday so they have a chance to dry out.
Not much accomplished yesterday but the rest of the weekend will be action packed and adventure filled. Need to go to the bank to get some cash for tomorrow. Then it's college football at 11. After the game I'll be disposing of the previous batch of yard waste and then I'll be able to play with all the new toys I picked up on Thursday.. The Hotshot Freight will be running with the new PFE reefer and I may also run the logging Shay with the new skeleton logging cars.
Tomorrow I'm off to Hampton, IA for a small train show. It's only an hour away and the weather looks to be pleasant for a road trip. I need to be home by 2 to watch the F1 race from Texas.

Tom, our County Tax Administrator is from Iowa. Talked to him yesterday. His brother has a big farm there. Says they are always crying, too dry or too wet.

Morning folks. Being slow today. Resting. Had to change hunting plans due to a Town thing. Going tomorrow, spend the night and hunt Tuesday. Now they way rain getting here earlier. Tuesday may be a wash out. Do not going. May not get to go for two weeks.
Concerned, no word from DAZ.
