I'm right out of it. Started Mon night with my eyes leaking -- clear stuff then white. Dr, gave me eye drops. Went back today as eyes were a little better but problem had moved to the throat. I now have an eye specialist tomorrow morning. I cannot talk -- assorted squeaks come out.

Greetings, gang.

Cool and breezy at 55 degrees this morning and i t doesn't look to get any better. High for today is supposed to be 57 and tomorrow's high is only supposed to be about 50, way to cool for this time of year.

Not much planned for today other than lunch with a friend and beer and bereavement this evening. Prayers for TeeJay's family and prayers for a speedy recovery for David and Frank.

All stay safe.

Tom

SJ - did you know that coffee and tea are considered clear liquids?

Greetings, gang.

It's soggy and cold this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Right now it's 45 with a light rain/drizzle. Those conditions are expected to prevail through tomorrow evening.

Just back from the grocery store and all stocked up except for milk. They were of the kind I buy, probably due to the power outage we had earlier in the week. Up next is to make a pot of chili.

All stay safe.

Good morning all, windy and chilly right now, and I guess we still won't see temps over the low 90's for the next few days, then by Sunday, comes the 100's. Still, except for the wind, the weather seems to be rather pleasant.

Everyone have a great weekend. For us, we're prepping to move again. Our casita is ready except for the flooring. That's scheduled for the 24th, and we're scheduled to move in on the 27th. It's only a few hundred feet from where we are, so it shouldn't take that long, just that I see weeks and weeks of unpacking and wondering where we'll put it all. The garage is small so I see it being full of boxes for a while, I know there's at least eight boxes of train things that won't get touched for a while. Sad

Eye specialist declared my eyes infected and put me on a course of more intense eye drops. SWMBO says that, after 2 days, they look a lot better.
I couldn't even talk to the doctor about my voice. Horrible bit of the problem is that the flap that closes the windpipe (keeps food out. I think there's one) is erratic and often doesn't work for light liquids, so I choke on them.

Morning. Been hot sun here. Watered yesterday afternoon and this AM. Radar showed we had a big storm yesterday afternoon. Not a drop nor a thunder. Radar way off. ??????? Did spray Grady's unplanted part of his garden as weeds were taking over. Since it didn't rain, I know it is rain proofed.

Got a fish fry invite to the New Bethel Church where I help support their food pantry. Tomorrow afternoon is seafood for my Sheriff buddy's kickoff campaign for 2018 race. Glad he is not retiring.

Have a good one.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and downright frigid (for May) in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. Right now it's 43 and the predicted high for the day is only supposed to be 54, which is about 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. We have also had an inch and a half of rain from Friday AM through Saturday PM. That's in addition to the inch and a half we got earlier in the week. Don - how about sending me some of that warm weather you've been having lately?

So fa it's been a very quiet weekend. It's either been raining or too darn cold to be outside.

All stay safe.

Tom

Good morning all, it's kind of chilly in the morning here, mostly because it's been windy, but hot days have arrived. We go out early for breakfast and the heater kicks in. By noon, the A/C is on. Today the forecast is around 104, just a bit above average, but not bad for anyone that's lived here for a while. Tom, we can try, but I think other's have been unsuccessful in getting the government to fund a pipeline for that between the Arizona desert and anywhere in the north. We do send our top politicians around the globe though, spreading our local hot air for everyone else to get some of what we put up with here.

By this time next week, we should be living among stacks of boxes and assorted clutter, but we should be in our casita. I don't know if we'll have Internet service seeing as how it's a holiday weekend, but we'll give it our best. I thought living in a senior facility that all this would be taken care of, but I still have to arrange for "upgraded" TV, Internet, landline and newspaper delivery to change over to our new address. They have DirectTV included in the rent, just that it's scaled down to some basic channels, and there's no DVR to record things. I just hate keeping track of all the bills anymore, but at least I don't have to worry about maintenance or utilities....

Morning. Rainy and more to come they say. 70 degrees. Nothing but errands to do today. Not rushing.

DAZ, don't think I told you. One of my single Moms is now in Phoenix. Living with an aunt. Recovering from cancer. Seems to be recovering good now. Was not good last month. Hope your move goes without hitch.

Hope all have a great week ahead.

99% of the move is done. Some minor works are still open. Only a custom made cabinet in the corridor missed some important design objectives and will undergo major rework.

Hello Blue
I just finished cutting the grass. All the rain has it growing fast and very green.
MORE rain expected before Tuesday is over. 70 degrees this afternoon.
About average for this area.

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 50 this morning with a predicted high of around 59.

After a very lazy weekend I was quite productive yesterday. Cleaned up the mess in the yard from the storms, got the yard mowed and trimmed, and cut up fallen branches, some for the wood box and others for yard waste disposal. After lunch I did some more painting on the new conduit that extends up the side of the house (used to be in the garage).

On tap for today is a grocery run and possibly a trip to Menards. Other activities may develop as the day progresses.

All stay safe.

Tom
