Good afternoon, yet another nice day in store for here. Temps should be in the mid to low 70's (or the low 80's, depending on who you're watching at the time) for the next ten days. It was cloudy this morning, looked like rain, and since we had both vehicles through the car wash, we were certain it would rain. Nope, the rain gods had mercy on us and it passed us by for now.
RB, looks like you lost part of you post. That happens to everyone, sometime the whole thing disappears before it gets posted.

The instant she touched my leg I jumped half off the bed and scaredher so badly she screamed and ran from the room!

another in day to-day , rain and high winds , took her indoors to see the quack , took her of one pill and up rated the Mazapar (? spelling) ,
that aside the layout is under going a new main line - double track this time ! work is under way , and I really should start a thread in layout section .

We started the day with sun and 22 degrees.
Also heavy frost. 30 now.
Now with the election over our state government wants to raise the gasoline tax 25 cents over the next 3 years.
It's suppose to be used to repair our awful roads but I wonder how much of it they would actually spend on road repairs.

Greetings, gang. Sunny and 16 degrees this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. High for today is supposed to be in the mid 20s after an overnight low of 7. Snow is moving in for tomorrow with a predicted accumulation of up to 4".
Had a really good visit with the oncologist yesterday. After his examination and blood work he told us that he had originally planned to tell us there was nothing more he could do but due to the declining liver enzyme numbers, good white count, decreased size of the liver and several other factors, he told us that something good is happening inside of her. Chemo is on for a while. Needless to say, we were very happy.
RB - glad to hear things are going fairly well for you.
Chief - learn to relax. One of my sisters-in-law said another word for retirement is do it tomorrow. It's one of the hardest things to learn in retirement is to notch it back a little.

Talk about your after-election yahoos, we had one woman that won fair and square based on her position on one of the current education mandates, and we now have a group that is trying to get her recalled... hey, she hasn't even taken office yet and they want her out.
I think that the majority has already spoken. BTW, Arizona law says that a person has to be in office at least three months before any recall can take place.

Good Sunday morning to you all. I have a hard time accepting the fact that Thanksgiving is only 11 days away. We'll probably take the turkey out of the freezer tomorrow, giving it enough time to thaw out.
Well, for those of you that have asked, we've decided to take our house off the market for now. Selling this one and buying a smaller one turned out to not be an economically sound decision. The selling, buying and moving costs would wipe out any advantage we'd gain, plus it appears that our taxes and HOA fees would go up every month as well. Packey will be here in about a half-hour and we're headed to the storage place to bring back everything we put there over the past 10 weeks. It'll take a while to get things back where they belong.
