That was very nicely done. I saw it recently when a friend emailed it to me. He also sent a link to a video of a Guinness commercial in which a female bartender is shown repeatedly day after day filling a glass and setting it on an empty table in the tavern. Then, at the end, a soldier enters the tavern and finds the beer...obviously intended for him and his safe return...and he gets salutes and applause from everyone in the bar. Glad to see these sorts of expressions of appreciation and support for our men and women in uniform.

It just gives you cause to pause and know that some people still care.

My Father was denied military service in WW II, because he held a "Defense Industry Critical" job, manufacturing Aircraft Parts. I saw, in this video, the pride of a Father of his son's service, I remember my Father's pride, of my service.
I enlisted, 10 October 1961.
I transferred to Fleet Reserve, 28 February 1983.
I was officially retired, 1 November 1990.
I was never " in country ", but every time I came up for "orders", I was at risk of "being there".
At the end of my years of service, I, came home.
My heart now reaches out to, and my prayers are for, the Families of the M.I.A., and the Souls of their lost loved ones.

And Please hold no doubt that we "Remember".... Every time I see a POW/MIA flag, license plate or sticker, my mind warps back in time to the time of Viet Nam and all those lost souls who never returned and I think of all the families who still do not have closure.. Nope

I was too young to be even called and I finally registered 2 years after the last draft lottery, so i never entered the Service. I still feel the sorrow, since I did have relatives that both served in the army and did return (one uncle was in Nam and one was at Pearl Harbor (Hickam Field) and he returned....with a Purple Heart. He never did tell us nephews how he got it.

If you can find it, on YOUTUBE is an article "Reveille, A Patriotic Tribute". Its about 8 minutes long, but really gets your attention. I can't find any way to put a link to it.
