What is the size of the cardboard/posterboard you're using, I mean how thick is it, 3mm perhaps?

Good to see you are continuing the Florida theme, Reinhard.
I like your new warehouse build, makes a change from the usual flat roofed warehouses more commonly seen in Florida. The strucure at Ocala looks very old.

Got the wallpapers on, light gray primer as a base coat and concrete for the lower parts and a layer of black wash. Aluminum foils is a very delicate, nasty and tricky wallpaper...
I am undecided how to do the roof. The black was a quick and dirty decision to get rid of a "white" roof.
The cardboard is only 1mm thick but the structure is reenforced with 1cm*1cm wood strips and all corners are build with 1cm*1cm wood strips inside.

Thanks for that Reinhard, it is starting to look great, but yes, I did mention that Aluminium foil is delicate and tears easy...
Looking forward how this progresses. You've accomplished a lot more than I have done in recent times. This lunch break at work, I put together two Kadee draftgear boxes with "158 couplers, to use on my recently completed GP9.
I was going to turn my attention to my layout , but I've been asked to detail another locomotive for a friend, offering me an identical locomotive as payment, I can't refuse a loco....

Koos, did you get some spare friends to share with us?
The "perfect black" roof looked similar to my fresh painted streets. Those streets get usually weathered with powder and some asphalt patches. I applied the same technique on the roof.

It's 'only' a Lifelike P2K GP30 (complete with cracked axles, as is his own). I'm being given one, together with one he will keep. I'm to detail them both and re-paint in SP/SSW colours, and add a decoder with sound etc.
That roof is starting to look good :-) The entire structure is looking good. What kind of primer did you use on the foil? Was it acrylic or automotive, considering this is metal and not a lot of hobby paints stick to that easy, it tends to flake off...

The little tower and the roof are permanent glued in place. Gates and the ramp added. Narrow corrugated steel roofs over the loading docks are next item.

It must be integrated into the ground. The street running will be removed and the track ballasted. The ramp must join the ground.
