Back into N scale - railroader9731 - 03-02-2015

Well as we progress to a possible new house deal ive put HO on the back burner for now as for different reasons as some may know 24 So with that I went ahead and started a proto freelanced layout in N scale. Here is my pitch it will feature Conrail and CSX of the mid to late 1990s and have given it the name of Red Hawk mountain division. In the first pic as a tease you see Conrail crossing the twin bridges over the CSX branch line. In the second pic is the plan for the first part of the layout. Maybe hard to see but the green is all ground level and the red is a 2% incline up and the orange is 2 inch foam.

Well I have not had much time to anything but yesterday I have made some progress Smile I started making the hill side as you can see and in two pics you can see a coal and fuel dealer, I have not decided to make it a completely abandoned dealer or one that still gets fuel oil by rail...... even tho the track is supposed to be a interchange track.

It has been one hill of a past few weeks 35 In the first picture is a start to the mountain back drop ( still a work in progress) 2nd picture shows an idea of the small town below the mountain side and last picture is the coal mine that ive been working on here and there. That's all I have for an update for now..... I guess little progress is better than none?? Cheers
