Anyone try Citristrip ? - e-paw - 02-14-2016

I picked this up at the local hardware store yesterday because I was trying the strip the paint from a brass 2-10-2 and was having no luck.
I tried rubbing alcohol, Pine soil, and Easy lift off and it barely did anything. This paint was thick and gooey. I sprayed the model , let it set overnight, scrubbed it with an old toothbrush and could see all kinds of details that I didn't know were there. The old paint came right off. I don't know how it would work on plastic models but for brass and cast,,, I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

As you can see she needs some work (I think someone dropped it), but that's for another day

I've used it in liquid/gel format to strip all sorts of finishes off wooden furniture, but I haven't tried it on plastic. Since MicroMark has a citrus based glue for plastic kits, I'd say some experimenting would be in order before applying it to a favourite... Eek
