I'm not big on modern railroading, but I have to admit that with the advent of pool power plus the plethora of rebuilt leasing company power, modern consists sure can be colorful.

Jim,That's so common on the NS here in Bucyrus it makes one think of a model railroad club.

I just noticed that the Santa Fe war bonnet in the pic is still not changed to BNSF although I suspect that there may be a patch on the cab.

Re: oddity on the UP - ezdays - 02-22-2009

Yeah, we see those Warbonnets frequently here along the BNSF that runs a few miles from our house. I've also seen a CN, usually in the winter. I have a feeling they kind of send them to Arizona to soak up a few rays and to thaw out before bringing them back up to snow country. Icon_lol Maybe they're older engines that have earned some working vacation time, who knows... Nope Popcornbeer

Yeah, at least they don't cut you off in traffic or drive slow in the fast lane like the other snowbirds do. Shoot Shoot

Yeah, you'll have to get in line, there's a big backup from the RV park about a half-mile from here. Nope Nope Besides that, we have one mean HOA and they'll have you towed away in a flash. Welcome
