Hi Andy, I don't know. I get the feed from about 20 model railroad related groups. I saw the photos in one of them. sorry

Does anyone have a reference or link to a website that details the typical sizes of styrene materials needed to replicate various materials used in the building of modern structures? I need to order some I beams, corrugated sidings and down pipes ect and wondering which sizes and shapes to get.

I will be building the shelf next week and the track will be here end of June. Then I can lay the track and start on the structures. As per the last layout I will do mock up buildings to ensure they fit and look right.

I noticed on Reinhard's thread that you were looking for the pic that Kurt posted showing Heki grass mats and their reference numbers.

I think this is what you're looking for. I've used some of these materiels on my layouts.

Here is a some idea of the clearance I have to switch out JBV with a 70ft lumber car and a 50ft box car if needed. Just for those who thought it was a bit tight....it is...but it works.

Is that just one of the modules or the whole layout?

Anyone know how to search for: "rolling stock found on any old SSW/UP lines in the years 1995-2005?"

I need to start looking at rolling stock and want to make sure I get the correct styles of boxcars in the correct colors as well as what would have been repatched around that time.

Try this, you can search road name and the look at the date of the picture

Would anyone know what reporting marks would have been prevalent in the TX and AR areas (Along the area of old SSW) during 2000 - 2005? Obvious ones are and UP, repatched SSW or SP, RBOX and ABOX, what else?

Car types are 50-60ft box cars.

Use the link that rattled posted and do a search by location. It'll give you all rolling stock and eras in your desired location.

Re: ISL 2016 - Thinking out loud - SSWUPinSA - 06-15-2016

Been side tracked from rolling stock searching whilst lookintgat Anaheim CA, was going there to look at pics of rolling stock but ended up spending 3 hours on Bing Maps and Google. The reason for Anaheim is that it is the location of the main feature of my previous layout and will be the feature of the new one too.

And the prototype from 2006

So to follow will be the results of searching for industries in and around Anaheim on and around South Olive Street which sees the line run in the streets and past some very cool old buildings that were clearly served at some point in the past. All these give me more than enough to base a layout on and to have some interesting features that stay with the industrial theme I already have drafted.

For the Bakery (Higgins site) I have the following options to put in this area on the left:

1. Bridgford Quality Foods

2. SB Thomas (Now Bimbos)

Re: ISL 2016 - Thinking out loud - SSWUPinSA - 06-15-2016

I Like the Bridgford Foods option as its an old building with height and lots of interesting details and could be represented well on the end of the layout.
