BLW 26 backs clear so we can move on to Carbondale on last weekends excursion.

DL&W 664 and DL 405 pull up to the platform at Carbondale.

With the upper level of the layout now in place and at least partially operational, I hired Secord Air Services to take some photos of the lower level.

Initially, the low ceiling caused some difficulty...

...but Barney got the plane down to his preferred altitude and got a couple of decent shots...

...although as the afternoon wore on and the on-board case of beverages turned to a case of empties, the camera and Barney both began to see some unusual sights...

Most of these photos were taken without being able to use the camera's view finder, but I thought some of them to be at least "interesting". Crazy Misngth Misngth

It's always a pleasure to see your beautiful models Bernhard

Thanks, Nutbar!
I hope for good progress with this model equipped with a decoder.
In moment there is a bigger problem. I sent five TCS decoders (three from me) for an upgrade to version 4 to TCS and they did a fast job. Since ten days now the decoders are on way back to Germany but they were stopped in Frankfurt for custom clearing - and now the are on way back to USA, yesterday the arrived in Chicago International airport again. I'looking forward to next steps of their moving, maybe back to TCS? I would be very happy to see them back on my worktable in next time!

I've had a somewhat similar problem with several issues of my subscription to Railroad Model Craftsman. They arrived roughly a month late, and all were postmarked Frankfurt, even though they're originally sent out of Colorado. Perhaps Frankfurt has become the Bermuda Triangle of the postal system? Crazy

Excellent work, by the way, on that locomotive. I've seen the one running at Strasburg, but can't seem to locate my photos of it. A very nicely-done restoration of an unusual locomotive.

That is very unusual. Customs at Frankfurt airport is usually totally overloaded and adds no added value to my parcels. They are all unprocessed forwarded to my local customs office in Boeblingen for handling. They sind a "paper" letter to get me there to do paperwork and pick the parcel up.
Only customs at Leipzig airports (handling DHL express) likes to put my parcels on hold if the customs declaration is not (very) fully correct. The local DHL office is very helpful to get things done but the "express" is spoiled until thinks are clarified.
