Walthers Turntable? - BATMAN - 02-19-2017

Hi all.
On the Walthers 90' turntable, there is a "no track" area on the diagram. My question is can there be any overlap into this area with say even a few millimetres of the edge of one track, or does it completely have to be outside the shaded area? Thanks for your help.

I have the Walthers 90' turntable, but mine is the manual version, and has no such restrictions. I did check Walthers DCC version, and that's where the "no track" area comes into play. Apparently, when an end of the bridge is within that area, the bridge track is not powered, so a locomotive on the bridge couldn't be moved onto a track within that area, nor moved from such a track onto the bridge. You can put a track within that "No Track" zone, but it would be unpowered and therefore for display purposes only.

Not being at all familiar with DCC operation, I'm uncertain as to why this restriction is necessary, but I'm guessing that it might have something to do with an auto-reversing circuit.

Thank's Wayne, I think I will have to just do some trials and see where I end up. I was hoping someone had some experience with the "dead zone" as it is making me have to rethink the things I wanted to do as far as placement.
Thanks.
