Wishram Oregon & Western - tankertoad70 - 09-08-2017

This is one of my recent completions for my railroad, Wishram Oregon & Western.
Here is the latest from the Wishram paint shoppes, an older Athearn GP7. I actually detailed this humperdill over 20 years ago and did not get around to finishing her til this August. When detailing, I did not feel like going through the trouble of lowering the high hood. Ahhh well. During the latest process, the old Athearn motor was replaced with one from Canon. I took the scintered iron wheels and polished 'em up considerably and she runs very well. The paint is Floquil which I still have a fair amount on hand. Decals are a mixture of Gary Collins, MS, Champ and Highball. The shot was taken in Milwaukie on the Mt Hood RR. Smile

Here is another one of my creations, a WOW U30B. It started life as a dummy and I acquired a new Athearn mechanism at a sale for $15. Nothing special was done to the lokie other than minor details and a new paint job. 357

I was attempting a stylistic WOW, but didn't come out too well. That's when I decided to have the custom designed herald on the GP7. 35
