Yeah, The base is a Playschool brand and I cant remove the couplers Most of our layout is Euro, so I'll just switch one of the couplers on the cars. Yeah, i found out that if I make the pictures under 500 pix wide they upload side-by-side. Something for you to work with RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 09-23-2019 I have progressed a bit more with this build. I now have a large LED Headlight and 2 small red LED's in the rear. Here is the front I will box in the LED later. RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 09-23-2019 It took about 2 hours to cut, glue and attach the skirt shown here. RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 09-23-2019 A little better view of the roof. This will all be filled with 1/2" X 1/8" strip wood as shown to the left of the stack. RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 09-27-2019 All finished except for the Engineer. This is the last of the roof boards being glued in. It now has 2 9V batteries for the steam generator and 2 AA batteries for the LED Lighting. RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 10-17-2019 Just an update, the engine is finished, just waiting for a small 12V fan to help the smoke come up out of the stack. Here is what it looks like from the front: RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 10-17-2019 The wide opening behind the front wall is the air inlet where I'll mount the fan for the smoke. If I remember to take video, I'll post it running. RE: Building a New Engine - doctorwayne - 10-17-2019 Looking forward to seeing it in action! Wayne RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 11-01-2019 OK - Here are the links to the 5 videos of the different levels on the layout: On Top Of the Hand Built Engine: https://youtu.be/yu7Ew__kN3w In between rails of the Hand Built Engine: https://youtu.be/N6usW5ftHDU On top of eggliner - The main level with tunnels: https://youtu.be/YJg4-nWZYZU On top of U-25b hanging from the ceiling. Wayne RE: Building a New Engine - ngauger - 11-02-2019 Yeah, the whole layout is just 4 loops |
