Testors Easy Lift Off - LiveSteamer - 03-26-2024 Ok here is a question that I need answered before I place an order. Has anyone ever used the Testors Easy Lift Off Paint & Decal Remover? I need to remove paint off two of my engines so I can get them ready for paint. My other engines I didn't have to remove the paint because the paint covered everything up. The two shells I have didn't work out as planned and you can see the lettering and decals. I know some have used brake fluid and other things but I need something that wont damage the shell. Thank You RE: Testors Easy Lift Off - jim currie - 03-26-2024 my go to paint stripper is potassium hydroxide. The only cars i found it harmful to were some early Tyco ones but whatever you decide on test it on a surface that is hidden first. Jim RE: Testors Easy Lift Off - bdw9535 - 03-27-2024 Matt, I"m currently using it to strip several ho trailers. It removed most of the paint on the models, but have to go over the areas around the ribs. Just brush it on and wait for the paint to start to crinkle up, then using an old toothbrush scrub away the paint. You may not want to do this on your kitchen table, the stuff splatters when brushing it off. Bruce RE: Testors Easy Lift Off - LiveSteamer - 04-03-2024 Ok thanks guys. I did order the Testors and it should be here today according to amazon. |
