That's a fast-growing city, Reinhard.  Thumbsup Thumbsup   In addition to the signs, those awnings are an especially nice touch, too.

The center block between Pharmacy and Ashmore Hotel got all window dressing, some signs and awnings. I will come back later for more signs etc. and all the sidewalk details (fire hydrants, letter box, newspaper machine etc.). I move west to do the next block now.

This is great. It reminds me of Pittsburgh which had street cars longer than most cities. Your modeling is astounding.  2285_ 2285_

Merging Bachmann Metro building and Walthers Rivoli theater gets a downtown movie theater.

I got Bowser New Orleans 952 streetcar from eBay. The story of the Brill car 5205 ( http://www.ectma.org/5205ahtml.html ) and color photos of Brill cars 5287, 5295, 5205 and 5234 in the FB group „Vintage Philadelphia“ is used as a guideline to create a PTC model with a paint job only. The route number place is ridiculous (I did not want to damage the shell), the numbers are misaligned (I do that all time undefined:-( ) and the route destination is from a Bachmann model. A „freelance“ car on a „freelance“ layout inspired by Philadelphia but I love it and it runs great.

I have two white Bowser SEPTA PCC on order from the US. The layout will be adjusted from the 50s to the 80s.
A hotel has been teared down in the 60s  and a cinema has been built. It was not a success and has been closed a long time ago too.
I am afraid we will see some more signs of decay on my layout in the near future.

Thanks for the nice words.
A short meeting of the knife and the former front row Ashmore hotel made a nice background hotel ;-)
