Various projects
#1
I haven't been posting as much over the past 6 months (busy with school/job search and family, mostly), so here are a few photos of various things I've been working on:

Step castings for 1879 DSP&P shop built passenger cars

36'2"x8' underframe for Oahu Railway passenger cars (On3). It is a spot-on match for the surviving prototypes...the correct end beams, steps, bolsters, and needle beams are in development.

The South Park's Baggage-Express car #40. I've concluded that the windows should have arched tops, not square, so I'll have to fix them.

The DSP&P's stock cars were few in number. They were the least numerous revenue cars on the freight roster...being about 1% of the fleet. I like stock cars, so I'll have a few of them modeled. My next stock car will be masters for an Oahu Railway stock car kit (no plans have ever been published, but I have enough prototype info/photos to create them accurately)

My primary goal is a large Oahu Railway layout in On3
My secondary interests are modeling the Denver, South Park, & Pacific in On3 and NKP in HO

Thanks for sharing the photos Michael. I especially like the scratchbuilt frame. Am looking forward to the progress on that one.

Thanks Gary. You reminded me that I have a thread on that one:
