Maumee & Western Track Work Redux
#1
Caught a tie gang working between Perry Street and Oakwood Avenue in Napoleon last week. I also took some photos of the abandoned yard by the old freight house.

I have always wanted to model track like that but, never had the nerve.

The closest was putting dings in a section of flex track by tapping it lightly with a small modeling hammer.I then slap on a permanent 10 mph speed restriction.

This must've been handlaid, too. Every trip is just a short "hop" down the line. Icon_lol

Do those guys always take a break and "pose" for you when you show up with the camera?

If you go back in a couple of days, will they be several ties further along?

Looks like good honest work 35

Some of my handlaid code 55 rail looks a little kinked like that. I tapped the spikes in a wee bit too tight.

I suppose that is what is so often referred to as "ribbons of steel?"
