Sure the guy is a little Otto over the top but I think he has to be. IMO, the rail purists among us are not the intended audience for this show; rather it's the average person that doesn't have trains on the brain that they're after. This show I think was made to show just how "cool" trains can be and they need this guy to really sell it to keep it from being a borefest. I think he does a pretty good job and I like the show.
