Veterans Day Tributes

Veterans Day. They say that no soldier returns home unharmed.

I'm not sure if this is allowed on this forum or not...but I've never seen tributes to the military better than these. Take a moment to visit this website and watch the free tribute movies: "We Support You" and "Honor, Sacrifice, Duty". http://www.gcsdistributing.com/?pv=tr

"Here Rests In Honored Glory An American Soldier Known But To God" - The only inscription adorning the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

The 9/11 tribute on there was really well put together. I just wanted to add my own images of that day to this tread. This was taken by myself in the early 90's from the former CNJ's Communipaw terminal in Jersey city.

Sept 11 2001
Standing on the roof of my truck I watched the smoke rise from the remains of the trade center wondering where my family was, was more on the way. The city was silent except for the sound of distant sirens. The odd looking building is the liberty science center. It stands where the CNJ's twin roundhouses and turntables once stood at C-paw. That was the closest I could get to the trade Center that day. That night it rained. The smoke rose from lower Manhattan for days after the attack, I will never forget the smell.
