Howdy from East Texas!

Howdy from the Pineywoods of East Texas! I'm Len, the Loblolly Logger. After quietly lurking around the site for a month or so, I thought it was time to introduce myself. Although I dabbled around with model railroading many years ago, I'm a relative newcomer to the hobby. After several months of hanging around forums, researching, head scratching, and the like, I finally got started on a layout.

Rather than take up a lot of space here, I'd like to invite Big Blue members to check out my layout blog at http://loblollylogger.blogspot.com/ ~ The Neches River Lumber Co. and Trinity Sabine & Gulf RR. Both the layout and the blog are still in the basic construction stage, at least its not still just a bunch of scratching on paper...

From what I've seen so far, Big Blue is a nice looking site with a bunch of friendly folks!

Welcome aboard Len. Good to see another Texan on the forum! Big Grin I grew up roaming the Big Thicket, hunting and fishing. Live in the Houston area, so not that far from you. Looks like you are off to a good start on the layout, look forward to more progress.

Great to have you here. Thumbsup

Welcome Len Welcome

There is one rather important thing to remember here, we're very friendly, but we'd rather look at pictures ... lots of reading gets tedious!

We like lots of pictures!

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks!

Gary, I grew up in Galveston & LaMarque - I remember watching Katy E's & GP's pulling freight thru LaMarque in the 50's- Ralph, we lived in Tyler in the 80's - still a Cotton Belt fan - and thanks Charlie B & nachoman - and especially for you Camelback...
