New technical posts

Well, as you can see, there's not much going on technically speaking right now. In the next week or so I'm going to try to recreate a few tutorials that I have over at Zealot. I've got one on Power and one on using a VOM for testing.

Anyway, feel free to post some of your technical problems and solutions here. We're open for business... Welcome Welcome

Okay, Don, I think I shall. Although I don't know if this could be considered a "technical" question....
Does anyone know anything about Binks Wren Model B airbrush? I recently purchased one for a dollar in a second hand store. It is complete, and appears to have been well taken care of. However, I don't have, and can't locate, a fitting to go from the hose to the top of the air can. Binks doen't sell anything on their website, and directed me to a "local" company that sells industrial air equipment. Wallbang Wallbang Curse
Help, please.
I only know what I know, and I don't understand very much of it, either.

Here is a parts list for the Wren. Sometimes it helps to know the part number and what it looks like.

Try to find an autobody supply store in your area. Many of them sell airbrushes and can get parts.
There should be a supplier on the web, but for something like this it is nice to take the brush with you.

here is a good site too: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.elliottequipment.com/binks/airbrush.pdf">http://www.elliottequipment.com/binks/airbrush.pdf</a><!-- m -->

I had one of these many years ago. The paint bottles and cups have a tube on them that just slips into the brush.

Thanks, Charlie. My main problem is that I can't locate an adapter to go from the air can to the air hose. I have an illustrated parts list, but Binks', (aka: DeVilbiss,) support guy just gave me the website if Air Supply, Inc., in Roanoke. Their website is mostly just referrals to other websites, none of which carry anything for Binks air brushes.
Wallbang Did you find the Wren to be a good airbrush? This is my first foray into airbrushes, as you can tell. I will attempt to post some photos of my dellema (sp) a little later.

When I was painting automobiles etc I preferred Binks paint guns over the Devilbiss but with the air brushes, although the Binks was OK, I prefer the Pasche. They give far better control IMHO.
Take your air can and the hose to a good hardware store or a welding supply store. You should find (fittings) there. It will probably take more then 1.
