Rockhill Iron Furnace Switching Layout Contest
#1
Alright. This isn't an official contest. Just something to get you guys that are really into layout planning a challenge.

So here's the sitch. A friend of mine has asked me to plan a switching layout for him. He wants me to do something original that isn't done very often (so, not Miami), and he wants me to do it in narrow gauge. First thing that came to mind: the Rockhill Iron & Coal Co.'s iron furnace at Rockhill Furnace, PA. Unfortunately, I'm no layout planner. I don't know Jack about it.

The Challenge: Design a switching layout showcasing the RI&C Co. iron furnace complex, complete with EBT main, a portoin of the tramway, and it must be narrow gauge. Scale is ir-relevant, but it must fit within the confines of a 4x8' footprint.

The Reward: Bragging rights, and a good feeling that you helped a fellow modeler.

Alright, you have what you need to know. It's no holds barred, so let's get going. I'll supply any information you guys need. Just let me know.
