Hmmmm, since we have members all around the globe how about something like "Intercontinental Connecting Railway?" More modern versions could call it "InConRail" to reflect today's corporate names. Hmmm, maybe Conrail would object to that one?

We were wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a freelance railway based here at Big Blue. We know we have The BB&G Railway, but we thought it would be a bit more fun to create a generations spanning railroad. One usable on any layout, in any scale in any era. It's up to the member/modeler what cars or engine he or she wishes to create. Just think, for those of us that are more into scenery and structures, we're not limited to what we can do for this new (or very old) railway.
Si you see, we'll be keeping both the "board standard rail cars" and the new, universal railroad name.

Oh, in that case, how about Central Lines. It has a good ring to it and is ambiguous as to location. We can also do like New York Central, Southern Pacific, and for that matter, Southern. Common Paint Scheme, but different lettering. So you can model the parent company or its subsidiaries.

Sheesh, sounds like a bunch of law firms. :ugeek:
I was thinking about going out of the box, farrrrr out, like:
Mar, Earth & Saturn Solar Independent express, or more aptly called, the MESSIE line
Uhhh, just kidding folks, just a bit of spaced-out humor here.
Keep this brain cells moving, we're starting to get a few good suggestions, we need some more so as Pete says, let's get this can of worms open.
