Gern

Mike, there's a little more on GERN (always all-caps) HERE. If you want to add some GERN cars to your roster, contact me via PM, and if you're interested in some GERN advertising material, include your e-mail address.
Mr. Gibson is unlikely to pursue the issue of a GERN mascot or specific spokesperson, as everyone already knows that "If it's GERN, it's Good". Besides that, he didn't become a multi-zillionaire by paying royalties for such frivolities. Wink Misngth

Mike: the coal and the haggis are jelly Bellies; coal is liquorice and the haggis are various shades of tan (for safety reasons I quit using peanut butter). I love telling the more senior citizens, "you youngsters don't know what coal looks like!" (I also tel that to the young 'uns.)
The flux bags are OO scale mailbags.
Last winter, when we were away, I think something got into the house and ate away at some of the haggis and coal.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.

(That's the middle waggon; the other two are coal and haggis.)
