Ed, a very interesting read here. Thanks for posting all the info. While my layout is pretty much operationally complete, it always helps to get ideas from real railroaders and real locations.

Thanks Gary. Nice to know that people can benefit from some of my information and experience. Have to admit that the peanut butter plant is a tempting industry and can't believe that I over looked it for so long! Funny how a person tends to ignore what is right in your own backyard. It's almost as interesting as the distilleries that I worked around here. Any one of them would make a complete switching layout with plenty of car variety and switching to be done.

I was also reading the stuff you had posted to Justin's Liberty Industrial Spur thread. Great stuff there too, it certainly helps this "non-real-railroader" to put together plausible operating schemes and understand how the switching would be done. Thumbsup
