Prison railroads

Some prions in America operated quarries and factories served by prison owned-and operated internal railroads that connected to an outside mainline for shipping products out, and coal and food in. Might make a unique and interesting layout for someone.

Never had thought about that type of RR before. Several of the companies that make people do make them in their striped "suits" as well guards for the chain gang so it would be very doable.

I remember seeing a documentary about Leavenworth having a supply railroad that was hijacked by cons in 1910 who stole a locomotive to crash the gates in an escape attempt.
