Get a grip! Tools for holding
#1
So into the model world we have items to paint, and even items that are too small to hold and placed by hand. For both instances there are tools for the job. My small arsenal consists of:

Hemostats
Spring Clamps
Tweezers
Needle Nose Pliers
Helping Hands
Vices

Now for things like tweezers, when I want them to lock I'll throw on a small spring clamp, but seldom use them like that since I have hemostats. On my most used set of tweezers I have bent on of the ends in just a tad so I have a grip on smaller items.
For the Pliers, I use a rubber band.
The Spring Clamps, at times will use them to hold other holding devices so they are propped up
The Helping Hands are exactly what their named Goldth

For most of my tools, I usually get them at flea markets, except for the Helping Hands, they can be found at Harbor Freight but only get them when they're on sale for $3.99 or less.

And finally, more of a percision tool, small machinist vice. Mainly used for when I run out of places to hold painted parts, and for small drilling.

I use the bench vice to hold the hemostats Smile (Neat idea!!!)

I have the helping hands, but seldom use them.
