Fulton County Railway - possible prototype?

Or at least inspiration.

I came across the FCR in a roundabout way but it has some great features - sharp curves, kick backs, short sidings, canyons. This is a bing maps link to just one part of the area which looks surprisingly like several of the track plans people have posted for their layouts

and the company website

it is part of Omnitrax and has been using SW1500 and SW1200s (I think - I have only picked up on this because they are supposed to have gone to the Illinois Railway) and is rumoured to be getting GP9s. A search has found other Omnitrax locos that are supposed to have been seen on the line - modellers licence would allow a wide range!

Where are we supposed to me looking? The "Map Venue" gave me an aerial city view instead of any maps, and no sign of a railroad.

Tracks right in the middle of the aerial view, zoom in, pan right or left, turn.

If you follow the tracks to the right you get to the Great Southwest Parkway, they dont appear to cross, but start up again on the otherside. If they did cross, and the orientation suggests they might have, then it is possible to follow them round in an oval and end up back where you started - so its even (almost) a prototype for a roundy roundy layout Thumbsup
