Matt. I don't want to post too much about it, as an initial article will appear in Modelm Trains International magazine in a couple of months, but an australian guy called David Bromage posted this on the MTI forum

It could handle almost any sort of traffic.


I need a small-ish transportable layout and this seems an ideal proto-based concept - the overbridge in the plan below is fictional and hides the sector plate which is shown in its 3 positions. It will probably consist of a 4' board and a bolt-on 2' skeleton board for the fiddleyard or , possibly, a plug-in fiddle-stick . with a pivot in each case

Ray - Hopefully - if it ever warms up so I can get it built - at the moment the temperature is chugging along below freezing, too damn cold to be in the garage, building baseboards! I'm staying indoors and building scenic accessories - I have a grab crane, and a BIG forklift to put together from kits, and the paint job on the tilter to keep me busy!

I thought the same thing when I saw the cut of Canada grain hoppers! ;-)

It had its first coat of paint and I ran out - more photos will follow when it has been given the second coat

After all these great efforts, wouldn't it pay off to sand down the casting pin seen on the doors?

Project complete - 2nd coat and gloss coat applied - _Whoops I've just noticed te Hydraulic cylinder - a minor repair job awaits = then to think about baseboards
